2021-2024 Ford Bronco | Capable Bull Bar

Overall great product, but the web page lacks product installation instructions and a list of additional required materials for proper installation of the led light bar (for this reason, I rate the product a 3 of 5). Quality of the bull bar is excellent, very well packaged and delivered in perfect condition. The online downloadable instructions for bull bar installation was accurate and easy to follow (it requires removal of the bumper). At the time of purchase, I also selected the 20” led light bar from the drop down menu and purchased the license plate relocation bracket (this is a must if you are installing a light bar to the bull bar and should be annotated on the website for customer awareness). I was under the impression that the light bar would arrive with all necessary brackets and hardware necessary for installation. Boy was I wrong! The led light bar arrived with two sets of brackets and two sets of different length socket head cap screws. Both sets of cap screws were too long and bottomed out in the led housing, which would not properly secure the brackets. I installed rubber washers between the bracket provided with the led light bar and led light housing to secure in place and to add a bit of shock and vibration dampening. Furthermore, the brackets provided with the led light bar are designed for a universal installation, not for installing to the bull bar brackets. The brackets provided with the bull bar did not install flush with the bull bar or provide a level surface for light installation. This required the installation of several washers to create a level surface for the installation of a led light bracket. I purchased some 1” wide x 1/8” thick steel flat bar at Home Depot to create a suitable mounting bracket. I cut the flat bar to length, drilled holes in the appropriate locations, painted with flat black rustoleum paint, and secured with fasteners, washers and lock nuts that I had to procure from Home Depot. When all said and done, it looks great and works great, but it requires some custom modification for proper installation, definitely not a complete assembly for installation (this should also be stated on the web page for customer awareness).

Light bar looks good. Not the easiest drilling holes in the bumper because it’s thick in spots.l but it looks good.

Awesome bar, very satisfied. I will say torx bolts would’ve been a better option and a bit of a counter sink would been nice on the light mounting brackets. The rivet allows space between the light bracket and the bar so if you’re mounting independent lights they tend to have movement due to the bracket not actually making contact with the bar. You can tighten the bolt as much as you want but you can still move the bracket with enough force. For example if you’re scrubbing your lights while washing the car they’ll move out of place because there is no counter sink.

Bull bar is packaged really well and was damage free when opened. Instruction video is great and easy to understand. I removed my bumper as it is easier to drill the holes needed for installation. Be sure to attach the felt pads to the bar before marking your locations to drill! Bumper removal was easier than expected and sure made install much easier. Fit and finish are exceptional and it really looks nice! Highly recommend!

Installed my DV8 bull bar today. Really happy with it!!!!

Definitely take the bumper off for installation. Its not that hard and it makes it much easier. In addition, then you can skip the rivets and go with black through bolts. Those rivets are a pain in the butt (you need a special tool) and don't always hold. Through bolting is much stronger and since it only took me 5 minutes to take the bumper off its worth it.
